Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha’s dreamy wedding pictures have made us all go aww? They look really beautiful and the pictures are just winning hearts.
Having spoken of their dreamy wedding, I wanted to ask – are you one of that filmy kudis who always dream about their wedding in the perfect Bollywood style? Well, this might sound OTT for some, but true Bollywood fans know how to take inspiration from the grand sangeet, cocktail, Haldi, and wedding functions shown in the films.
Some Bollywood films have really created a dreamy wedding sequence on screen and I am head over heels in love with them. Here are a few of our favorite wedding sequences from Bollywood films/series.
1. Made In Heaven
Made In Heaven series gave us some major wedding goals. The grand decor, the floral aesthetics, and the way they brought the story of the bride and groom to life just made us all want to have a rich fat wedding. They built enormous sets to create beautiful wedding events and each wedding just held a special place in our hearts. Made in Heaven is the series you need to watch to take some serious wedding inspirations if you are looking for a BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDING.
2. 14 Phere
Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda were fortunate to have two big fat weddings in 14 Phere. And do I need to say that both were just mesmerizing? After watching the film, I really wanted to pursue wedding planning as a career. It just made me a sucker for good Indian weddings!
If you love vintage aesthetics and love everything retro, then Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding in the film Raazi is the perfect wedding inspiration for you. Didn’t Alia Bhatt look like a dream in this sequence? The cherry on the cake – the song Dilbaro playing in the background (tears in my eyes)
4. Veere Di Wedding
I am sure you have watched and re-watched Veere Di Wedding with your girl gang a zillion times and must have imagined your best friend’s wedding to be exactly the same. I mean how are we not supposed to dream? Kareena’s wedding in the film had everything a dreamy wedding requires. The beautiful decor, the sangeet practices, the final performance, the floral phoolon ki chadar carried by Kareena’s best friends, and finally her breathtakingly beautiful attire for the day. This is the perfect big fat Indian wedding that I am craving for.
5. 2 States
Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt gave us one of the best romantic films – 2 states. And if you ask what is the best part of the film, then it has to be the highly emotional and beautiful wedding sequence at the end of the film. Trust me, I am waiting for a guy who would look at me the way Arjun looked at Alia when she walked in her bridal outfit. The location – Mahabalipuram Shore Temple which is in Tamil Nadu added to the aesthetic beauty of this wedding sequence. Simple yet the prettiest wedding sequence ever!
6. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety gave us Baarat and Haldi function goals, literally! The crazy baarat dance made me want to attend a wedding instantly. Well, the location added the extra colors needed to the already bright wedding sequence. The bridal entry did win our hearts too. (The only thing unfortunate was that the wedding didn’t happen.)
7. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
When it comes to the best wedding decor, nobody can beat Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s wedding sequence it seems! The aesthetics were so beautiful that I already have my wedding planned with the same theme in mind. This wedding sequence was when I fell for the city Udaipur. The sangeet practices, Haldi function, and the final wedding day were all so well shot that you just fall for it. The attires need a special mention too. Didn’t they all just look so amazing?
8. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
Can I have such crazy friends at my wedding too, where I can go crazy too? The wedding in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was quite simple yet elegant. The location was pretty and the wedding sequence was fun to watch.
9. Meenakshi Sundereshwar
South Indian weddings have a different kind of charm. They are simple yet the most attractive ones. Meenakshi Sundereshwar film captured the true beauty of South Indian weddings and we can’t have enough of it!
10. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
The wedding sequence in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil literally has my heart. Colorful, bright, and aesthetically beautiful. Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan looked like a dream and the wedding seemed like a crazy affair. ( A kind of wedding I would like to be a part of)
