February 2021 Releases: Patriotism and romance are in the air.

After interesting shows like Tandav, and films like Kaagaz in January 2021, we have more expectations out of February, with all the upcoming movies and series that are being released. Let’s take a look at what February has in store for us. 

1.  Lahore Confidential, Zee5

When Ananya (Richa Chadha) is sent as a spy to Pakistan, she never thought she’d fall in love with an ISI agent (Arunoday Singh). Amidst Urdu Shayari, love, deception, and betrayal, Ananya has to figure out where her loyalties lie, and if love is worth giving up her nation. Zee5’s film is set to be a thrilling experience. 

When: February 4

2. Malcolm & Marie, Netflix

John David Washington (Tenet) and Zendaya (Spider-Man) come together in this black and white romance drama about a couple whose life changes over the course of an evening. The actor plays the role of a filmmaker, who awaits the response after his film’s premiere, and converses with his girlfriend about love, life, and relationships. 

When: February 5

3. Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, Netflix

The Cecil Hotel in L.A., often called Hotel Death has been notorious for its housing of serial killers to unexplained and many, many deaths. The death of Elisa Lam caused another such uproar, and this docu-series will try to take the audience through the entire horrifying event, and show what happens in places where death lurks. 

When: February 10

4. The Family Man Season 2, Amazon Prime Video

The first season of this series received rave reviews, with Manoj Bajpayee’s performance lauded and eagerly anticipated. The series follows the story of Srikant, who secretly works as an agent for the Indian government. While Season 1 saw his gear up against ruthless terrorists, we can only guess as to what Season 2 holds.

5. To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Netflix

Lara Jean’s romantic (mis) adventures are finally coming to an end in the third part of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film series. While Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are set to reprise their roles as the main couple, we also cannot wait to see which way this dreamy couple’s love life goes. 

When: February 12

6. Live Telecast, Disney+Hotstar

This horror show on Disney+Hotstar is a highly anticipated one, starring Kajal Aggarwal, Vaibhav, and Kayal Anandi, and directed by Venkat Prabhu. A film crew enters a haunted house, and what they experience changes their lives forever. We cannot wait to see Kajal in this new and exciting role.

When: February 12

7. Pitta Kathalu, Netflix

4 filmmakers come to deliver 4 anthologies of love and betrayal. In Pitta Kathalu, Amala Paul, Ashwin Kakumanu, Eesha Rebba, Jagapati Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde and Shruti Haasan show stories of women who want to break free, and the love they find, or the love that finds them.

When: February 19

8. Tom And Jerry

The comedic duo of our childhood – Tom and Jerry – are finally (finally) back on the screen, this time with a live action movie. Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of ‘the wedding of the century’, forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them. Starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost and Ken Jeong, the movie is much anticipated. 

When:  February 19

9. 1962: The War in the Hills, Disney+Hotstar

Based on real-life incidents during the 1962 Indo-China war, this Disney+Hotstar original, starring Abhay Deol is a story of how 126 soldiers defended a pass in the valley against 3000 Chinese troops. This story of the soldiers’ courage and valor is sure to get us all amped up. 

When: February 26

10. The Girl On The Train, Netflix

Meera (Parineeti Chopra) is an alcoholic divorcee, whose sudden entry into an investigation leads her life awry in The Girl On The Train, Starring Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, and others, this film sees Parineeti in a different yet challenging role, we cannot wait to watch the film.

When: February 26
